Laughs on the Landing
Drew Brockmeyer, a lifelong friend of Mark's, quickly jumped into action when
he learned Mark's cancer had returned. Drew and Kate contacted Laughs on the Landing and a benefit show
was held to raise money for Mark and his family. It was held Jan 27, 2007 but unfortunately
Mark was too ill to attend. In the midst of organizing this event, Drew also designed and purchased bracelets so
others could show their support for Mark and his fight.
 Mark DeWalle Golf Classic Tournment
Held at Old Hickory Golf Course on April 17, 2007. This tournament provided Mark with the chance to see family, friends and co-workers. Mark and his
family will never be able to thank the people at Golf Discount for all of their support throughout Mark's journey.
Butch Marmon told Mark in early January that he would organize the event...and Mark used the golf tournament as another goal
to get better. He so looked forward to it.
Gateway Karate Kick-a-Thon
Sensei Dave Hanson arranged for this
fund raising event which was held in February. Students of the Gateway Karate school kicked for several hours one Saturday
morning. Mark was quite ill in the hospital and very disappointed that he couldn't attend. He really appreciated
the support and was quite proud of his nephew who displayed his kicking prowess in the picture. The family appreciates all
the hard work that was put into this event.
Volleyball Tournament May 5th, 2007
What a fun day. All who attended really enjoyed
the "mini Mehlville reunion". Everyone had a chance to see old friends and get a sunburn at the same time. We
would just like to thank St.Louis Volleyball as well as Tom Kaesberg and Julie Walsh for this memorable day not only for Mark
and his family....but for Mark's friends as well
Anthony Rivera and Raining Horseshoes
Anthony and Susan Rivera are cousins of Mark's mom. At several
of Anthony Rivera and Raining Horseshoes shows throughout 2007, money was raised through donations and selling of Mark's
bracelets. Anthony and Susan have never met Mark but were some of Mark's most ardent supporters.
